MESSAGE OF PEACE: IN THE SPIRIT
OF THE SEASON
RVW
Just
like you, I’m a human being. I dream, work, aspire, want to be
happy, love, err, achieve, and hope. Perhaps also like you, I’ve
had expectations of others…and been disappointed.
Aside from my work with WME, I am a private person. I respect
privacy – that of others and my own. Long ago, I invited those
who malign me to sit down to solve and heal whatever their issue
is with me, to no avail.
There are many allegations made about the World Meditation
Ensemble, me and others. I can understand anyone’s concern
regarding those statements, if they were true. They are not. My
associates and I are a friendly group that promotes peace and
healing. Actively promoting peace has been more important to me
than responding to false allegations, but I now feel it is time
to offer my perspective, in hopes of promoting a peaceful
resolution.
I
endeavor to have compassion for everyone, including detractors,
and hope you do, too. You can do something real to promote peace
and healing. Please see the Invitation of Peace at

“Compassion is not religious business;
it is human business.
It is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace
and mental stability; it is essential for
human survival.”
H.H. Dalai Lama |
I
encourage anyone to contact me with questions that exhibit
objectivity without prejudice, particularly if they actually
involve a personal experience with me.
Despite the fact that I have been subjected to some bitter
fallout from disappointments, and despite the negative things
that have been written about me, I still value people and
relationships above all else. I know I haven’t always expressed
that in a way some people have been able to understand, but just
as someone speaking a foreign language may be wishing you only
good things and you can’t understand them, they may not have
been able to hear me. If I have ever met you and you asked for
my help, you would have found me willing to do my best for you,
and that usually is the case with strangers, too.
Life
is quite short and I believe we’re here to help and do our best
to understand and respect one another, rather than fight and
engage in negative activities
We
all disappoint one another at some time or another. We all have
expectations that are crystal clear to us, but may not be clear
to the other person. I’ve been disappointed and have
disappointed others. It’s part of the fallibility of being
human. I regret if anything I have done in the past has
disappointed anyone. It was never intentional, and I have
learned that sometimes even good intentions can have a negative
impact.
In
the spirit of the season, and in fact, always, forgiveness and
amnesty are available from me to all who have done anything
harmful to me or to others. And your understanding and
forgiveness are also welcome and encouraged. I believe if we
are disappointed in another’s behavior, it’s best to feel it,
deal with it, learn from it, and move on.
As I
said before, I’m a human being, and capable as we all are of
both excellence and mistakes. Not forgiving mistakes is akin to
hanging onto a burning ember and waiting to throw it at someone.
It hurts the one holding it more than anyone else.
If
anyone reading this has an unresolved issue with me from the
past, I invite them to contact me to talk it over. I believe
there is a way to bring peace to any situation with enough
patience and care.
You
can always write me at

Peace to you
and your families now and in the New Year.
